Product Description

DK Equine Flexi Tub Essential Lick

The DK Equine Flexi Tub Essential Lick provides a convenient way to add essential vitamins and minerals to your horse’s daily diet. Suitable for horses and ponies across a range of lifestyles, this mineral lick supports general nutritional wellbeing as part of a balanced feeding programme. Moreover, it contains key nutrients including biotin, zinc, copper and selenium to support normal hoof, skin and coat condition.

The free-choice format makes daily supplementation simple. There is no need to measure, mix or prepare a separate feed. Instead, place the tub in a suitable dry area and allow your horse access to the lick. Furthermore, the weather-resistant design makes it practical for stable or paddock use. The lick is available in 5kg and 12.5kg sizes, so you can choose the option that best suits your horse’s needs and feeding routine. In addition, explore our stable treats and toys for more ways to enrich your horse’s daily routine.

Benefits

A balanced supply of vitamins and minerals plays an important role in maintaining your horse’s overall condition. The Essential Tub provides nutrients including biotin, zinc, copper and selenium, which support normal hoof, skin and coat health. As a result, it can complement the nutritional needs of horses whose regular ration may not provide everything they require.

The lick also offers a practical option for horses and ponies on restricted or forage-based diets. Meanwhile, the free-choice format allows horses to lick the tub naturally throughout the day. However, it should complement, rather than replace, a balanced diet and suitable forage.

Features & Materials

The Dallas Keith Equine Flexi Licks Essential Tub features a molasses-based formula designed to provide a palatable source of essential nutrients. Consequently, horses can enjoy the lick while receiving additional vitamins and minerals.

Available in 5kg and 12.5kg tubs, the lick provides a convenient option for different feeding requirements. Furthermore, its weather-resistant format makes it suitable for turnout areas when positioned correctly. The formulation is intended for horses and ponies and can suit leisure, working and competition animals.

How It Works / Care / Safety

Place the tub in a dry, suitable area of the stable or paddock. Allow your horse free access and let them regulate their intake through natural licking behaviour. Therefore, always provide fresh, clean drinking water alongside the lick.

Keep the tub protected from prolonged exposure to excessive moisture where possible. Replace it when it is nearly consumed or if prolonged wet conditions affect its quality. Moreover, follow the feeding guidance on the packaging and consider your horse’s total diet when introducing mineral supplementation. If your horse has specific nutritional requirements, seek advice from your veterinary surgeon or qualified equine nutritionist.
