TopSpec Senior Feed Balancer is ideal for stiff, elderly horses that need help building muscle, topline, and condition. It combines the benefits of a conditioning feed balancer and a joint supplement in a cost-effective way.

Senior Feed Balancer is a palatable, high-protein, cereal-grain-free feed that’s low in sugar and starch and provides non-heating energy. It includes a broad range of micronutrients and digestive aids. Keeping sugar and starch intake low helps elderly horses maintain healthy hindgut function, especially when they can’t chew fibre effectively, which helps prevent loose droppings.

This balancer provides micronutrients that support mobility, including the veterinary-recommended 10 grams of glucosamine per 500kg horse per day. It also supplies the key building blocks for hyaluronic acid (HA) and chondroitin, which are essential for healthy synovial fluid in the joints. Because complete HA and chondroitin molecules are too large to be absorbed efficiently, the balancer focuses on supplying the nutrients horses need to produce them naturally. High levels of manganese and vitamin C support cartilage formation, while methionine and other bioavailable sulphur sources help maintain healthy tendons, ligaments, and muscles. Antioxidants such as vitamins A, C, and E protect cells and support joint health.
