Product Description

Red Mills Performa Care Balancer

Red Mills Performa Care Balancer is a nutrient-rich, low-starch balancer designed specifically for performance horses. Its cereal-grain-free and oat-free formula provides concentrated nutritional support without adding unnecessary calories. Therefore, it works particularly well for horses needing elevated micronutrient intake while maintaining a controlled diet.

This specialist balancer suits horses on forage-led diets, those topping up a low-concentrate ration and good doers requiring calorie control. Moreover, it can support horses travelling and competing regularly, as well as those working in challenging climates or experiencing stressful periods. In addition, explore our horse feed range for complementary feeding options.

Benefits

The carefully balanced formula supports sustained performance and stamina while helping maintain lean muscle mass and topline. Furthermore, quality protein and amino acids support muscle function and post-exercise recovery. The nutritional profile also helps support bone strength, hoof quality and a healthy, glossy coat.

For horses prone to laminitis, insulin resistance or EMS, this low-starch approach can form part of a carefully managed feeding programme. As a result, owners can provide essential nutrients without relying on a high-calorie concentrate. Meanwhile, support for gastric and hindgut function, fibre digestion and nutrient absorption helps make the most of a forage-based diet.

The added RED MILLS Nutrition Care package provides targeted nutritional support. Consequently, it helps address key areas including digestive health, immunity and overall condition.

Features & Materials

Performa Care Balancer uses a very low-starch, non-heating formulation that contains no cereal grains or oats. Moreover, it delivers a concentrated source of essential micronutrients, making it suitable when nutritional requirements exceed what forage alone can provide.

The recipe includes quality protein and amino acids to support muscle development and maintenance. Furthermore, the RED MILLS Nutrition Care package adds nutritional support for performance, recovery, digestion, immunity, hooves and coat condition.

Key features include:

• Low-starch, cereal-grain-free formulation

How It Works / Care / Safety

Use as part of a balanced feeding programme alongside suitable forage. It can complement a low-concentrate diet or provide essential nutrients for horses receiving mainly forage. Therefore, feeding rates should reflect the horse’s size, workload, body condition and forage quality.

Introduce any dietary change gradually and follow the manufacturer’s recommended feeding guidelines. Always provide clean, fresh water. For horses prone to laminitis, insulin resistance or EMS, consult your veterinary surgeon or equine nutritionist before changing the diet.

Care instructions: Store in a cool, dry place and keep the bag securely closed between feeds.
