Plaiting Tool

Product Description

Plaiting tool

The Plaiting tool is a simple yet highly effective grooming accessory designed to make plaiting and turnout preparation quicker, easier and more organised. Featuring a practical comb with an integrated clip, this handy tool allows you to secure the comb directly into the mane while braiding, keeping it close at hand throughout the process. Whether you’re preparing for a competition, show or special event, it helps streamline grooming routines and improve efficiency.

Perfect for both experienced grooms and riders learning the art of plaiting, this versatile accessory reduces the need to constantly put down and pick up your comb. The integrated clip can also be used to hold sections of hair neatly out of the way when attaching tail extensions or creating tidy, professional-looking plaits. In addition, browse our collection of showing and plaiting essentials to complete your grooming kit.

Benefits

When preparing a horse for competition, organisation and efficiency make all the difference. This practical grooming aid helps keep your comb within easy reach, allowing you to work more smoothly and maintain focus on creating neat, even plaits. As a result, grooming becomes less time-consuming and more enjoyable.

Moreover, the built-in clip helps secure loose sections of mane while you work, making it easier to achieve a polished finish. Consequently, you can create professional-looking plaits with greater consistency and control. Meanwhile, its compact design fits comfortably into grooming boxes and showing kits, making it ideal for use at home or on competition days.

Features & Materials

Designed with practicality in mind, this plaiting comb combines two useful functions in one convenient tool. The fine-tooth comb helps section and smooth the mane, while the integrated clip keeps the comb securely attached when not in use.

Furthermore, the lightweight design allows for comfortable handling during longer grooming sessions. The durable construction is suitable for regular use and helps withstand the demands of busy yards and competition preparation. In addition, its multifunctional design makes it useful when fitting tail extensions or managing sections of hair during grooming.

How It Works / Care / Safety

Simply clip the comb into the mane while plaiting to keep it accessible throughout the process. Therefore, you can move efficiently between sections without constantly searching for your grooming tools. The clip can also hold loose hair away from the working area when creating plaits or attaching extensions.

For care, wipe clean after use and remove any trapped hair from the comb teeth and clip mechanism. However, avoid forcing the clip open beyond its intended range to maintain long-term performance. Store in a dry grooming kit when not in use.
