Cuprius Snaffle Double Jointed

Product Description

Cuprius Snaffle Double Jointed

Overview

The Cuprius Snaffle Double Jointed is designed to encourage softness, relaxation, and improved communication between horse and rider. Many horses respond better to copper mouthpieces because they naturally stimulate chewing and salivation. Therefore, the Cuprius Snaffle Double Jointed helps promote a softer contact and greater acceptance of the bit during work.

In addition, the double-jointed mouthpiece distributes pressure more evenly across the tongue. This design reduces sharp pressure points that some single-jointed bits create. While some horses resist traditional bits, many relax more easily with copper mouthpieces. Consequently, this bit is a practical choice for everyday riding, schooling, and training.

Benefits

Comfort and responsiveness are essential for successful riding. This bit encourages both while maintaining effective rider communication.

Key benefits include:

• Copper mouthpiece stimulates natural chewing activity
• Encourages saliva production for improved comfort
• Double-jointed design spreads pressure evenly
• Nickel-free copper alloy supports sensitive horses
• Durable stainless steel rings for long-lasting performance

In addition, the Cuprius Snaffle Double Jointed promotes a more relaxed mouth. Because the horse produces more saliva, the mouth stays softer and more comfortable. Therefore, riders often notice improved acceptance and steadier contact.

How It Works / Directions

This bit uses a double-jointed mouthpiece that rests comfortably on the tongue. When rein pressure is applied, the joints move smoothly. Consequently, pressure distributes across the bars and tongue rather than focusing in one area.

For correct use:

• Fit the bit so it creates one to two small wrinkles at the mouth corners
• Attach the rings to a properly adjusted bridle
• Maintain light and consistent rein contact
• Introduce the bit gradually if the horse is new to copper mouthpieces

While riding, keep your hands steady and balanced. Therefore, the horse can respond calmly and confidently.

Safety

Horse welfare should always guide tack selection. The Cuprius Snaffle Double Jointed uses a nickel-free copper alloy that supports comfort and safety for sensitive horses.

However, riders should inspect the bit regularly for wear or rough edges. In addition, ensure the correct size for your horse’s mouth. Proper fit improves comfort and reduces the risk of rubbing or pressure points.
