ARMA Performance Atherstone Elastic Girth Black

Product Description

ARMA Performance Atherstone Elastic Girth Black

The ARMA Performance Atherstone Elastic Girth Black combines supportive shaping, cushioning and ventilation for everyday comfort. Its carefully engineered construction helps keep the horse dry while reducing heat build-up beneath the girth. Moreover, the heat-responsive memory foam lining moulds to the horse’s contours for a comfortable, close-fitting feel. A non-stretch nylon web core provides a strong foundation, while soft roll-away edges help prevent pinching during work.

The contoured profile gives the horse valuable space behind the elbows, supporting freedom of movement without compromising stability. In addition, double-layer pressure-relieving elastic inserts sit at both ends for a more forgiving fit. The girth works well for schooling, hacking and competition, especially when comfort and dependable performance matter. Alternatively check out our elastic anti-chafe girth for another practical option.

Benefits

The ARMA Performance Atherstone Elastic Girth Black focuses on comfort where your horse needs it most. Its memory foam lining responds to body contours, helping create a cushioned and supportive fit. Meanwhile, the soft edges reduce the chance of rubbing or pinching around sensitive areas.

The Air Cycle® Prene technology helps encourage airflow through the girth and towards the underlying layers. As a result, it can help refresh the area and promote a drier feel during exercise. The contoured shape also allows greater freedom behind the elbows. Therefore, your horse can move comfortably through schooling sessions, hacks and competition work.

Features & Materials

The girth uses a non-stretch nylon web core to provide strength and structure. A heat-responsive memory foam lining then adds cushioning and adapts to the horse’s contours. Furthermore, Air Cycle® Prene technology targets ventilation to encourage air movement and reduce heat build-up.

Double-layer elastic inserts at both ends help distribute pressure while allowing controlled flexibility. Curved self-closing loop bar roller buckles feature at one end, while standard roller buckles sit at the other. Stainless steel fittings provide long-lasting durability, and a centre D-ring allows attachment of a martingale or breastplate.

How It Works / Care / Safety

Fit the girth carefully and check that it sits correctly within the saddle’s girthing area. Ensure the horse has comfortable clearance behind the elbows. Check the buckles, elastic and fittings regularly for signs of wear or damage. Consequently, replace any component that no longer provides secure support.

For routine care, wipe the girth clean after use with a damp cloth. Remove sweat, dirt and hair before they build up on the lining. Allow the girth to dry naturally away from direct heat. Moreover, avoid harsh cleaning products that could affect the materials or construction. Always follow any specific care guidance supplied with the product.
