How It Works / Care / Safety

Before riding, prepare the leather by applying Neatsfoot oil with a brush or sponge and allowing it to absorb fully between applications. Meanwhile, regular cleaning removes dirt and sweat that can shorten the life of leather tack.

After each use, wipe the reins clean and leave them to dry naturally away from direct heat. Therefore, the leather stays supple while the fittings continue to perform reliably. Always check the stitching, billets and leather for signs of wear before riding, replacing the reins if any damage is found to help ensure safe use.
